Optimism emanating from women-owned companies

Women-owned businesses that bring in at least $50 million a year are showing signs of optimism, according to a survey of members of the Women Presidents' Organization. Half said they have a more positive outlook than a year ago and plan to add employees and invest in capital, and the majority plan to take steps to grow, such as by offering new products. "While I am not more optimistic about the economy, I am more optimistic about the future of my business because I now feel more prepared to operate in an uncertain economy," said Ashley Fina, president of Michael C. Fina.
