Private funding sought for common core preparation in Chicago

Chicago Public Schools is looking to raise $600,000 in private funding to help support and expedite implementation of the Common Core State Standards curriculum in 60 pilot schools. The money will be used to provide monthly planning support and professional development for teachers as they prepare for new testing to begin in the 2014-15 school year.
