Study: Mediterranean diet outperforms low-carb, low-fat diets

Data on 322 moderately obese participants showed those who followed a Mediterranean diet lost and kept off nearly seven pounds over the course of six years, compared with 3.7 pounds in the low-carb group and 1.3 pounds in the low-fat group. The results appear in the New England Journal of Medicine.
