$172.2M mixed-use project in N.Y. reaches 25% completion

The $172.2 million HarborCenter mixed-use development in Buffalo, N.Y., is 25% complete and preparations are being made to place concrete beams that will connect to the First Niagara Center, according to officials. Crews working on the 20-story tower "have placed 5,672 cubic yards of concrete, installed 1.48 million pounds of rebar and 89,818 feet of post-tensioned cable for the concrete decks." The project will feature two ice rinks, a restaurant, retail shops and an 850-slot parking facility.
