Competition for NASA launch site heats up

SpaceX and Blue Origin are heating up their battle for a former space shuttle launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center, where NASA has been seeking a partner to use the site and help with maintenance costs. Blue Origin, formed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has filed a protest with the government over the NASA proposal solicitation process for the site, while SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, says it's far ahead of its competitor in conducting actual spaceflight.
