D.C. board votes down liquor-license moratorium

Washington, D.C.'s, Alcoholic Beverage Control Board voted Wednesday against a moratorium on new liquor licenses for businesses in the 14th Street and U Street NW corridors. The moratorium was proposed by the Shaw Dupont Citizens Alliance, but met opposition from neighborhood and business groups, as well as Washington Mayor Vincent Gray.
