Delegates tout rewarding rail careers, discuss PTC during Indianapolis events

Participants of the AREMA Annual Conference and the Railway Interchange 2013 events in Indianapolis promoted the advantages of pursuing careers in the industry and provided updates on positive train control initiatives. Speakers from several Class I's and Amtrak shared how being a rail professional helped shape their careers. A lot of opportunities await potential leaders as "the best of railroading is ahead of us," said James Carter, Norfolk Southern chief engineer of bridges & structures and AREMA 2012-13 president and chairman.
