Fifth-graders tour college to link education with careers

Fifth-graders in Tarpon Springs, Fla., took a tour of a local college in order to make the connection between their schooling and their career goals. "When we lose our students in fifth grade, sometimes that motivation goes away forever, and I personally feel the earlier we plant that seed the better chance we have that our students will succeed later in life," teacher Beverley Billiris said.
