Ind. corn group offers grants for blender-pump installations

The Indiana Corn Marketing Council is offering grants of up to $20,000 to help retailers offset the cost of installing ethanol blender pumps, said Rosalind Leeck, the group's director of grain marketing and biofuels. One of the biggest stumbling blocks to the rollout of E15 is the lack of appropriate equipment at fueling stations to handle the blend, Leeck said. "The configuration at the gas station or the retail location can often need to be changed slightly in order to accommodate an additional blended fuel," she said.
