Ind. high school expands social media use

An Indiana high school last year embraced Twitter as a way to communicate -- in and out of the classroom. This year, educators say they hope to expand that effort following a recent daylong professional-development course focused on technology. Teachers said they learned how to use social media to reach out to other teachers, find ideas for assignments and lesson plans from fellow educators from around the world and use the Internet to connect students with experts such as politicians and authors.
