Study: Free meals for all students boosts participation

More students are eating breakfast and lunch at school under the "community eligibility option," according to a study by the Food Research Action Center and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. The program allows qualifying schools to serve free meals to all students regardless of family income. Student participation increased by 13% in the lunch programs and 25% in breakfast programs during the first two years of implementation.
