Teen with painful muscle condition opts for amputation

Thirteen-year-old Kaleo Niko, who suffered from club feet and arthrogryposis, a congenital muscle disorder, chose to have both legs amputated below the knee to finally end the "stabbing pain" he felt when walking. His surgeon says he will be more mobile than ever before when he gets used to wearing prostheses, which he is scheduled to be fitted for in about a month.
