Thailand consumer outlook darkens

A lower official growth outlook and government budget delays were among factors weighing on economic sentiment in Thailand as the Chamber of Commerce consumer confidence index slipped to 77.9 last month from 79.3 in August. The reading was well below the 100 level that indicates optimism, with subindexes the overall economy and employment prospects even lower.
