Report: Private schools not accountable to the general public

In a special report, The Tennessean examines the role of test scores in determining whether private schools provide a better education than public ones. Although an unscientific sampling of ACT results indicated private school students generally score better than their public peers, the newspaper finds that private schools are not required to post their test scores on the Internet or even make them available to parents of prospective students.
