Researchers underline pregnant women's fear of antidepressants

Many pregnant women stop using antidepressants when they discover they are pregnant for fear that such drugs could harm their unborn babies, which contributes to the decline in the prevalence of antidepressant use during pregnancy, a study concludes. Scientists warn providers and women alike that abruptly discontinuing antidepressant medication may do more harm than good to unborn infants.
