Chevron awards $550M services contract for Australian LNG venture

Chevron Australia has granted a services contract worth $550 million to CB&I for the Gorgon-Jansz liquefied natural gas venture off Australia's western coast. The work, which is scheduled to be finished in 2013, includes the engineering, procurement and construction of two LNG containment tanks of 180,000 cubic meters each, as well as four condensate tanks.
