Apple asks for a stay on huge patent penalty

Apple has appealed a jury verdict that could cost the company $625 million for patent violations in connection with its iPhone, iPod, iPad and Mac OS X products. The company asked a federal judge to stay the award, arguing the jury made a mistake after prosecutors issued a misleading verdict form.
