Local responders learn about hazmat leaks from BNSF

BNSF Railway is dispatching a special rail car to teach emergency responders what to do in the event of a leak of hazardous materials. The rail car, part of the Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response program, will make its way through 28 states and two Canadian provinces. "It's so public responders are familiar with rail operations," BNSF spokesman Gus Melonas said.
