Teacher-training program is launched in Jakarta, Indonesia

A foundation in Jakarta, Indonesia, has launched a five-year program to train hundreds of teachers, mostly primary-school level, in three provinces. Dewi Susanti of the Tanoto Foundation says most primary-school teachers do not have a four-year degree. The foundation also will provide more textbooks for teachers and students.
