Teenage boy with muscle-wasting disease gets artificial heart

Doctors at a children's hospital in Rome have successfully implanted an artificial heart into a 15-year-old boy with Duchenne's syndrome. The device, which was inserted into the patient's left ventricle, could give the boy up to 25 additional years of "normal life," experts say.
