Compound shows promise for type 2 diabetes, study finds

The use of nicotinamide mononucleotide compounds helped regulate blood glucose levels and reduce cholesterol and triglyceride rates in mice with type 2 diabetes, according to a study in Cell Metabolism. Researchers said they hope to develop an NMN-based nutriceutical pill that could be taken as a vitamin to help fight type 2 diabetes.
