Experts link estradiol levels to metabolic disorders

Excessive or insufficient levels of estradiol, a type of estrogen, can trigger a metabolic network imbalance that may lead to the development of metabolic disorders, researchers at the University of Houston found. The findings underscore the importance of increased awareness about the risk of estradiol misuse, such as with supplements or hormonal treatments, experts said.
