Interview: Exec talks about U.K. semi industry prospects

Fred Dart, founder and managing director of FTDI, said the U.K. may lose out on its native engineering talent due to the high cost of university fees. The nation needs to educate electronic engineers if it is to produce more chip companies, such as ARM, CSR and Wolfson Microelectronics, he added.
