Macy's expects to incorporate RFID by next fall

Macy's and Bloomingdale's will adopt RFID technology to manage merchandise that must be regularly restocked -- items that account for 30% of sales. The company expects to be using RFID in all of its stores by next fall. "This is technology that has proven effective in our testing, and we believe now is the right time to roll out RFID aggressively," said Tom Cole of Macy's.
