NIH grant to expand exercise program for middle-school girls

Michigan State University received a $3.6 million grant to expand nursing researcher Lorraine Robbins' five-year Girls on the Move program across the state. The program includes an after-school physical activity group and individual and Web-based counseling sessions with school nurses, according to the university.
