Don't get overwhelmed by new opportunities

It's easy to get distracted by the newest and shiniest opportunities, but there are ways to improve your focus and stay on task. Write down new opportunities when they come to you, but don't act on them before you have had a chance to make sure they are worthwhile, writes Andrew Griffiths. Ideally, you should try to tackle only one opportunity at a time. "This means you have to choose wisely and be disciplined enough to stay focused," he writes.
