Federal shutdown halts some aviation sales

The closure of the Federal Aviation Administration's Aircraft Registry Branch in Oklahoma City due to the government shutdown has brought aviation sales to a standstill because aircraft registrations can't be completed. General Aviation Manufacturers Association President Pete Bunce said the closure comes at the start of the busiest time for aircraft deliveries, and he is also concerned about the backlog that will be created once the office reopens.
