New construction methods could come from Hyperloop redesign

Autodesk technology futurist Jordan Brandt's redesign of Elon Musk's Hyperloop proposal relies on yet-to-be-developed construction methods and materials. To create the carbon-fiber passenger tubes, Brandt would need a machine to weave and manufacture a carbon-fiber pipe while rolling. "A bold idea like Hyperloop can drive another material forward," Brandt said.
