Massachusetts high court hears school funding case

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court heard arguments yesterday in a landmark case filed by 19 poor districts complaining about alleged inequities in the school funding system. Assistant Attorney General Deirdre Roney says the justices should let the state help the four underperforming school districts at the heart of the suit rather than overhaul the financing system statewide.
