New North Carolina stormwater rules could raise development costs

New stormwater regulations in the works in North Carolina may mean a wave of new costs for commercial and real estate developers in the state. The changes could more than double the amount of land needed for most residential and commercial projects in affected areas and could have the impact of raising development costs by several hundred thousand dollars per project.
