Omega-3 fatty acids deemed good for health, eyed for expanded use

The fish oils may find their way into juice, yogurt, salad dressing, margarine, meat, milk and more if the food industry can learn how to incorporate them to make those foods heart-healthy. Bolstered by the FDA's approval of a "qualified" health claim on packaging, the industry has picked up on the health care sector's adoption of the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids in reducing fatality rates from heart attacks.
