IAB: Q2 online ad sales pass $5B for first time

Online ad spending in the U.S. in the second quarter jumped more than 25% over the same period last year to reach a record $5.1 billion, and totaled nearly $10 billion for the first half of 2007, according to a report by the IAB and PricewaterhouseCoopers. "We have every reason to believe, based on torrid sequential growth quarter after quarter and year after year, that robust growth will continue," said David Doty, an IAB SVP.
