Officials: Minnesota could run out of highway funds

Minnesota's Department of Transportation says that even if all the money authorized by the federal government to rebuild the Interstate 35W bridge comes through, the state could run out of funds for highway construction and maintenance. The department has made a request for a $195 million allocation from the state general fund to cover bridge reconstruction costs.
