Venture capital boosts green technology in third quarter

Global investments from venture capital into green-technology firms rose to $1.59 billion in the third quarter, a 10% increase over the second quarter but a 42% decline from the same quarter last year, according to a survey. The sector nevertheless attracted the largest share from venture capital. With the results only preliminary, one expert said, the final tally could show total investment increased by 15% to 20%.
