Baltimore plans 28-acre green-building project

Maryland and Baltimore officials are joining forces to launch a large-scale sustainable-development project in the city's midtown. The 28-acre site, which will include residential and government office buildings, will include LEED-certified properties and will be designed for walkability and easy public-transit access. The first phase of the project will cost about $215 million.
