Smart skins make buildings more adaptive, sustainable

New "smart skin" technologies are revolutionizing green construction, allowing buildings to adapt efficiently to conditions for which their designers didn't originally plan. Innovations such as nano-membranes that responsively regulate humidity and heat transfer and robotic window shades that track the sun's path are allowing buildings to optimize their energy efficiency on the fly.
