Workers' comp bill gets Calif. governor's veto

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed legislation that would have allowed workers' compensation insurers and policyholders with contracts that include arbitration clauses to settle claims disputes under state laws. The bill would have been an unnecessary regulation that minimized "the competitive market for workers' compensation California now enjoys," the governor explained.
