Funding for corporate pensions still falling

Sinking interest rates and struggling stock markets have hurt the funding of large corporate pension funds, a report indicates. Average funding dropped in September to 72%, and plans run by S&P 1500 companies hit a collective underfunding record of $512 billion at September's end.
