Some retailers report better-than-expected September sales

Retailers that still report monthly sales growth, including Limited Brands, Buckle and Zumiez, booked higher-than-expected back-to-school sales in September. The 23 chains tracked by Thomson Reuters are expected to report an average same-store sales increase of 4.6%, up from 2.7% in the same month last year.
