Study: Heart attack risk drops for men who get vigorous exercise

Vigorous physical activity such as running and playing basketball for three or more hours weekly can reduce the risk of heart attack for men by 22%, Harvard University researchers reported. The study in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise found that people who reached that level of exercise had higher levels of vitamin D and good cholesterol and lower levels of markers for diabetes.
