Nokia will spend considerable amounts of cash to pump its upcoming Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones in the U.S. because of the important message strong American sales convey to the rest of the world, chief executive Stephen Elop said in an interview. If Nokia succeeds in the U.S., "over time the rest of the world says, 'Ah, we see this as a trend.' ... It's really important to us worldwide," he said.
