Study: Osteoporosis patients undertreated due to medication non-compliance

More than half of patients with osteoporosis fail to take prescribed weekly medications properly, a new study says. Weekly treatments of bisphosphonate therapy have been shown to have better compliance rates than the alternative of daily therapy, but researchers say the majority of patients even on the weekly dose fail to use the medication as prescribed and are therefore undertreated.
