Impact of LLEGO's closing still felt by community

Formerly a leading AIDS resource group for its community, the bankrupt National Latina/o Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Organization is now undergoing scrutiny by the federal government, which is trying to reclaim more than $700,000 in allegedly misspent funds. The group, which was active in California, Florida and other states with significant Hispanic populations, ceased operating in the summer of 2004.
