Contractors race to gain green expertise

The expanding green market has prompted contractors, developers and architects in the Atlanta area to become more knowledgeable about sustainable buildings. Sustainable buildings outperform non-green structures in occupancy, rental rates and sale price, according to a CoStar Group study. Meanwhile, hundreds of Atlanta contractors have received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, accreditation in the past two years.
