Experts endorse CDC guidelines for HBV in children

Experts said hepatitis B vaccination at birth is the most effective way to protect children and endorsed updated CDC guidelines for testing, screening and managing chronic HBV in pediatric patients. The recommendations, published online in Pediatrics, stressed the importance of partnerships between pediatricians and liver specialists for appropriate management of HBV in children.
