Idaho firm develops solar panels for the road

Engineers at a Sagle, Idaho, company are developing solar panels made of glass that may eventually be placed under roads. "We're building solar panels that you can drive on," said Scott Brusaw of Solar Roadways. "The fact that it's generating power means it pays for itself over time, as opposed to asphalt." He noted that the glass in the panels will be embedded with heating elements to melt ice.
