Experts differ on benefits of airline mergers

Experts say business travelers should fare relatively well amidst a spate of airline mergers, though some individual airports could see a reduction in service. "Combining two carriers opens options for business travelers," says Joel Wartgow, director of air consulting for the CWT Solutions Group, who notes there is no "compelling data" proving fares increase after a merger.
