Multivitamins may aid heart health in women, study suggests

Swedish researchers found that women without cardiovascular disease who took vitamins and other supplements had a 27% lower risk for heart attack than counterparts who did not consume any supplements. However, the study found no benefit to vitamin use for women with a history of heart disease, and researchers said the findings did not determine whether the vitamins were actually protective.
