A new weapon in the war on smog: Roofing tiles

MonierLifetile has created a roofing tile that it says is coated with catalysts capable of sucking smog-causing nitrogen oxide particles out of the air. A midsized home can "eat" as much smog as that caused by a car traveling 10,800 miles; the chemicals wash off the roof when it rains, and can serve as fertilizer for nearby foliage or lawns.
