Ohio livestock board proposes euthanasia standards

The Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board has drafted its first set of rules designed to establish acceptable methods of euthanasia for cattle, horses, pigs and other farm animals in the state. The proposed rules, which will take effect upon approval by a board committee, would impose civil penalties on violators.
